Redbull Secondary Data Infographic
This project is one of the several deliverables that my group and I submitted for our semester-long assignment in our Marketing Research (MARK-4060). This specific assignment prompt was to develop a new product or service and research its demand using marketing research techniques such as surveys. Our group was challenged to evaluate whether a Red Bull subscription service—offering discounted deliveries to college students—would be a feasible and marketable business idea.
The key question: Is there actual student demand for this kind of offering, and how could Red Bull stand out in an already saturated delivery landscape? We wanted to use existing research to uncover trends in student consumption behaviors and preferences, identify key competitors, and explore how Red Bull could create a unique and compelling value proposition for college campuses.
To get started, we conducted secondary data analysis, digging into industry reports, journal articles, and market research findings to build our case. We asked three main questions: 1) Is there demand among college students for a discounted energy drink delivery service? 2) What factors (price, convenience, speed) drive student choices in beverage delivery? 3) How can Red Bull differentiate this service from competitors like Amazon and Monster?
As a team, we showcased these results in the secondary data infographic. This project taught me how to turn raw data into a story—one that’s both visually engaging and strategically sound. It was a great exercise in analyzing trends and thinking like a brand strategist. Our team communicated well, divided responsibilities efficiently, and delivered a product we were all proud of.
